The trees at this location are on the old site of the Purau Hotel which was on the previous main road to Koukourarata-Port Levy when all traffic was by horse and wagon. The trees at the site include 8 Tasmanian blue gums (see CR/1278), 2 walnut, a cabbage tree and 2 Lombardy poplars. They all appear to be of a similar age (Hammer, J.R. 2015).
