The larger of two Camperdown elms beside the Avon River, near the historic band rotunda and waka mooring. Planted in the early 1930s, it is believed to be one of the largest Camperdown elms in New Zealand and has become a distinctive feature of the Christchurch river corridor. (NZNTT, 2026).
