Located beside the track to Rod Donald Hut, this well-documented group of tōtara shows pronounced wind influence, with many trees strongly windswept or naturally pruned by persistent exposure. The effects of wind shaping are evident not only on site but can also be seen clearly in aerial imagery when viewed at a broader scale (Hammer, J. R., 2025).
