Tree Information x

Identifier: CR/2143
Tree Type: Single
Registered By: Hammer, J.R.
Registration Category: Notable tree/s – Local interest
General Notes:
Site of the former Godley Hotel, which was lost in the 2011 Canterbury earthquake. Godley House, built in 1880, originally served as the grand family home of Harvey Hawkins, a prominent Lyttelton resident. The surviving Norfolk Island pine is unlikely to date from that period and is more probably a later planting (Hammer, J.R., 2025).
