This rimu can found at the treetop walkway near Hokitika, Lake Mahinapua, West Coast. the tree top walkway gives visitors a nature experience where they walk on a 20.0 metre platform among tall podocarp trees (rimu, kahikatea and miro) This fine representative example sits to the right beside the walkway at the end of the walk. It has a fine tall trunk that towers up to 20 m and a splendid crown (Barker, P.A., 2020).
